Uwaye Annette Eigbedion, better known as Waye is a recording/performing artist and songwriter who originates from Edo state, but was born and bred in Kano, Nigeria.
The artist who began her musical journey in 2013 while in the University of Benin, prides herself in relatability and versatility; being able to evoke emotions from her audience with her music as well as distinguish herself from her peers with unique cadences on all her records.
Inspired by artistes like Damien Marley, Frank ocean, Chronixx, Rihanna and Erykah Badu, Waye comfortably blends elements from Raggae, R&B, Afrobeats and Hip-Hop when creating her own music. She is also uniquely inspired by the divine as she encounters some of her melodies and lyrics in her sleep.
Waye believes in the divinity of humans, that all things originate from one Creator, and creatively applies herself as the catalyst to awaken the god in all who seek healing through music.
