Minneapolis-born and Los Angeles based twin sisters Paris and Amber Strother are We Are KING. Highly rated by media outlets including Rolling Stone, TIME, NPR, Glamour, Pitchfork and the New York Times among others, We Are KING’s debut effort saw them nominated for the Best Urban Contemporary Album of the year, becoming the first independent artists in the category to do so. Completely self-produced, written, and performed, We Are KING’s dreamy and eclectic synth-based sound has earned them the #1 position on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, and within the Top 10 on both Billboard’s Independent and R&B Album Charts. In addition to touring and performing with artists such as Prince and Stevie Wonder, the twins have contributed to projects by Aviici, Bilal, Corinne Bailey Rae, Coldplay, Jill Scott, Leon Bridges, Moses Sumney, Nick Hakim, Nicolas Godin and Robert Glasper among others. We Are KING are currently recording their second full length release.
