Weekend Youth

Weekend Youth is a pop-alternative-indie rock duo from Napa, California, formed in 2019 by Serafino "Serf" Barnabei and Michael "Mikey" Rhinehart. Their catchy melodies and lyrics speak to the heart of anyone who has ever navigated the challenges of adulthood, highlighting how youthful experiences—such as falling out with friends, heartbreak, and self-discovery—never really leave us.

Originally introduced to BottleRock crowds as Forgotten Dreamers, the duo quickly found their footing and reinvented themselves as Weekend Youth. The new name matched their evolving sound—a blend of pop, alternative, and indie rock, influenced by bands like Sir Sly, The 1975, Phoenix, and Twenty One Pilots. Their debut EP, Vacation, was released in March 2020, just as the world entered lockdown. Despite the challenges, the band remained creative, and in May 2021, they reimagined their early work with Redux Vol. I, experimenting with fresh sounds and pushing the boundaries of their music. By 2023, they had fully embraced their identity as a duo, with Serf and Mikey playing off each other's strengths to create a unique dynamic and music that is both multidimensional and deeply personal, often intertwining two distinct storylines and perspectives.
