20歳〜21歳 3ピースバンドWENDY。2020年10月、コロナ禍で居場所を失ったメンバーが音楽への共通の想いをきっかけに結成。70〜80年代ロックを基盤に、ヒップホップやカントリーも取り入れた独自のサウンドが特徴。すべて英詞で制作された楽曲は、不安や葛藤を抱える若い世代の共感を呼び、熱いメッセージを発信している。
SUMMER SONICやMETROCKなど大型フェスに出演。1stアルバム「Don’t waste my YOUTH」では、グラミー受賞作を手掛けたMarc Whitmore (マーク・ウィトモア)をプロデューサーエンジニアとして迎えライブ録音の手法で制作された。
2024年10月には初のアメリカ・ロサンゼルスでのライブも行い、12月には最新シングル「WILD 」をリリース。新世代ロックの注目バンドだ。
From Setagaya (Tokyo) to the World
WENDY is a three-piece band of 20-21-year-olds based in Setagaya, Tokyo. Formed in October 2020 during the pandemic, the band was created by members who had lost their sense of place but found unity in their shared passion for music. Influenced by ’70s and ’80s rock while blending elements of hip-hop and country, WENDY’s unique sound delivers powerful messages that resonate deeply with young audiences navigating their own struggles.
The band gained attention during their indie days, performing at major festivals such as SUMMER SONIC and METROCK. Their debut album, Don’t waste my YOUTH, was produced and engineered by Grammy-winning Marc Whitmore rded using live recording techniques to capture their raw energy.
In October 2024, WENDY will perform their first U.S. live show in Los Angeles, followed by the release of their latest single, “WILD,” in December. From Setagaya to the world, WENDY is a standout voice in the global rock scene.
