We/Or/Me is the musical alias of Bahhaj Taherzadeh, a Chicago-based songwriter with roots in Ireland and Persia. In the mid-2000s, while working as an editor, Taherzadeh started to write songs in his car on his lunch breaks, recording them at night when his infant daughters slept. The daily/nightly routine yielded a string of independent releases that drew praise from the likes of NPR Music and BBC6. Over the years We/Or/Me has become a fixture on the Chicago scene, touring internationally, collaborating with musical luminaries such as Vashti Bunyan, Glen Hansard, and Joan Shelley, and sharing stages with artists such as Big Thief, Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons, and Mt. Eerie.
