Weronika Amelia Kijewska is a polish composer, cellist, singer, bassist, known as WERA, currently living in Athens.
Member of duo Wera&Nick, Road Duck band, Vlastur Band. Collaborating as well with many different artists as a session player such as Maria Papageorgiou, Die Arkitekt, VassiŁIna, Prisma Flower band.
She studied history of art, cultural studies and photography, but ultimately she followed music.
Influenced by natural world, creative people, light&dark and many forms of art.
She loves to use the whole spectrum of the cello and create collages of cello loops, samples and her voice.
Wera describes her solo project as an avant cello that features dreamy melodies, hinting to alternative, indie rock and ritualistic sounds under the influences of classical and cinematic music.
