Wes-tone is a GRAMMY-recognized songwriter who writes and produces in multiple genres from his home studio.

Wes Honkomp has been writing and recording music since 2003 while he was in middle school. During these years and into high school, he and his friends played small venues around Minnesota in punk rock/hardcore bands "The Outloud" and "Tanarchy and the Patriots". As the music scene became more hardcore, Wes lost interest and began spending more time writing his own material. His solo career became known as Wes-tone. With humorous early hits such as "Facial hair", he was encouraged to continue the writing process.

Early on, he had success in the OurStage.com community, and in 2015, he was one of three winners of the Grammy Amplifier Contest. The Recording Academy and Hyundai sponsored his trip to the 2015 SXSW in Austin, Texas where he was announced as the winner and also performed on the Rolling Stone stage with Tove Lo, TV on the Radio, The Zombies, Best Coast, and others. They also sponsored the recording of his single, "Diamond in the Rough (feat. Danielle Diamond)," with Grammy-winning producer Ben Fowler (Eric Clapton, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, etc) at Oceanway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

On the side, he has written catalog music, jingles, and performs and produces music for his wife, Danielle Diamond.
