Westfalia

Westfalia are an alt-rock band with psychedelic influences. Their sound
combines obscure and hypnotic rhythms with sophisticated but essential
melodic writing, where keyboards and electronics take the place of guitars.
The strong live impact and originality of their style, initially closer to the world of
urban pop and r’n’b, lead them to perform at the Live shows of X-Factor 2021.
The following period saw them active on some of the most important european
stages, including The Great Escape Festival (Brighton), FZW (Dortmund), Band
on the Wall (Manchester), Saint Luke’s (Glasgow), Zerox (Newcastle) and
Locomotiv Club (Bologna). In 2021 they released the hit single Goblin (Sony),
which was followed in 2022 by the EP We Are Not Just Good At Playing
(Panico Dischi). Both works were curated by the famous producer Taketo
Gohara.

During 2024 they released the singles The Monster, Alligators, Little Prince
and Berluschoney, followed on October 11th by the latest single D-End. These
excerpts anticipate their long-awaited album Odds and Ends, which was mixed
and mastered by Matt Bordin (Mojomatics, Squadra Omega), sound designer
at his renowned Outside Inside Studio where he worked with bands like New
Candys, Go!Zilla, Nero Kane and many others. Officially out on November 8th,
2024, the record marks a turning point from the band’s past, under the sign of a
sonic evolution that fully places them among the most interesting bands in the
alternative scene.
