Biography of Wex Morax
Wex Morax is an Ecuadorian artist from Guayaquil, whose musical journey reflects versatility and authenticity. His story began in the hardcore, metalcore, and post-hardcore scene of his hometown, where he spent more than five years as part of several local bands, mastering growls, screamings, and rap. Those years allowed him to forge an energetic and raw style, with a strong sense of live performance.
After the pandemic, and due to personal reasons, he had to step away from those projects. However, far from leaving music behind, in 2025 he was reborn with his solo project under the name Wex Morax —formerly known as Junior DFKC. This new chapter blends his hardcore roots with a broader and more contemporary vision, exploring genres such as alternative trap, rap, emo music, and hardcore with urban influences.
His sound draws inspiration from international artists such as Machine Gun Kelly, adapting those influences to his own identity and culture, creating a bilingual proposal in Spanish and English that connects with diverse audiences.
Currently, Wex Morax is working on new singles and his upcoming album “Say Goodbye”, based in Downtown Brickell, Miami, alongside his producer Code Vittorio.
