Steven began his exploration into improvisational playing as early as 5th grade on the alto saxophone in my middle school jazz band. On to the sounds of progressive rock in high school — the Rush “Moving Pictures” tour got him hooked on guitar. From there he explored everything from jam bands to classic jazz, settling on mandolin family instruments and electric guitar tuned in NST as his main form of musical expression,
