Whifflefit are a three-piece rock n’ roll band from Galway, Ireland and currently based in both Galway and NYC. Their eclectic sound is something of a conflicting nature – drawing influences from nineties and early noughties alternative rock bands, old time rock n’ roll, modern hip hop, funk and house music.
The centre piece of their music revolves around bringing a raw rock n’ roll sound back to modern music with pop overtones and other amenities that hook today’s music listener in; all while still maintaining a tight, technically adept foundation. This is topped off with high-energy, nuanced and well-developed song structures as well as a strong and forefront lyrical aptitude to make for a truly unique and engaging sound.
Their recently released single “I’m So Alone” was home recorded and produced by the band themselves from the ground up to reboot and capture the trio as they sound live. The current line up consists of Ciarán Bissett – Vocals and Guitars; Diarmuid Dempsey – Guitars and Production; Michael Doheny – Drums and Percussion.
