Jerry Whitney Joseph fka <a href="spotify:artist:6CBCtfOn2cKrORTKlta9Sh" data-name="Whit.">Whit.</a> is a Haitian-American recording artist hailing from Saint Louis, Missouri. He in his own words is an eclectic artist tapping into his roots in Caribbean music and boom bap while bringing the flair of pop. With inspirations such as <a href="spotify:artist:2YZyLoL8N0Wb9xBt1NhZWg" data-name="Kendrick Lamar">Kendrick Lamar</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:74V3dE1a51skRkdII8y2C6" data-name="André 3000">André 3000</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6aaMZ3fcfLv4tEbmY7bjRM" data-name="Isaiah Rashad">Isaiah Rashad</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2h93pZq0e7k5yf4dywlkpM" data-name="Frank Ocean">Frank Ocean</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:73sIBHcqh3Z3NyqHKZ7FOL" data-name="Childish Gambino">Childish Gambino</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:3AA28KZvwAUcZuOKwyblJQ" data-name="Gorillaz">Gorillaz</a> amongst others he aims to curate a variety of moods through his music, blending genres at times in order to create new musical experiences.
In 2020, Whit. was able garner much success with popular singles <a href="spotify:track:1JqNRgDzapprfZxPjC5GRA" data-name="Pick Me Up.">Pick Me Up.</a> and <a href="spotify:track:5DWT2ub3jZ5Ftl9gxJ5C6G" data-name="Take Time">Take Time</a> succeeding the release of his first EP, <a href="spotify:album:3b3mbooeEXeJ5QipaZJ67c" data-name="Don't Call Me After I Drop This. [EP]">Don't Call Me After I Drop This. [EP]</a> earlier that same year. Whit. continued dropping singles throughout the following year until in late 2022 he released his much anticipated follow up effort <a href="spotify:album:6ONEgPpkH7kchidFXxalz9" data-name="WUNDER: A DEMO DISC">WUNDER: A DEMO DISC</a> an EP meant to showcase his versatility in multiple genres.
In early 2024 he has come out of the gate with new collaborative releases from the St.Louis based collective <a href="spotify:artist:17ein4m1tnvyEDhI0EhBdo" data-name="RENTS DUE">RENTS DUE</a>. From there on, his growth and following has only increased and he now has over 250,000 listeners across 128 countries. With a promise of "many more big things to come" in 2025.
