Whiteboyy, born Yusuf Awofala in Brooklyn, NY by two Nigerian immigrants. Growing up in NYC had its perks, being the most famous cultural melting pot in the world, there were many musical influences for Whiteboyy. But after years of playing the Native Yoruba talking drum for bands and parties, Whiteboyy decided to pursue the native music from a different angle. Afrobeats being at its peak in terms of Notoriety, is a mix of hip hop drums alongside lyrics, Melodies and percussions that highlight the culture in Africa.
