Whitney Merritt was born and raised in Kentucky by an abundantly musical family. The importance of country and bluegrass at their roots is what keeps Whitney’s heart and soul in her music. She has mastered the art of keeping a down-home country sound with the iconic twang, fiddle, and steel guitar while keeping up with today's trends. Her first release was “It Ain’t Easy” in 2016 after she made her way to Music City - Nashville, TN. This album contains heartfelt love letters to her formative teenage years that she wrote during that time. Her latest album is “Like The Wind” in 2020 which contains the firecracker hit “Guarantee” which has been added to many Spotify playlists. Whitney’s biggest influences are Loretta Lynn, Everly Brothers, Bobby Osborne, John Anderson, and of course, Dolly Parton.
