Hailing from the city of Malmö, Swedish rapper/producer Why-D has been carving out his space in the underground scene for the past two decades through raw instrumentals, hard-hitting verses, and collaborations with the likes of Masta Ace, Planet Asia, AG (of DITC), Sadat X (of Brand Nubian), El Da Sensei (of Artifacts), Reks, Apathy, Maylay Sparks, and others.
Backed by his own sample-flipping production and slick talk-heavy bars, the emcee/producer virtuoso pays homage to hip-hop culture as a whole, but moreover the veterans that inspired his craft like EPMD, Gang Starr, DITC, Wu-Tang and more.
His entirely self-produced sophomore album “The Work Of A Doloist”, featuring some of Hip-Hop’s greats, dropped on November 22nd, 2024, through his own label Why Dolo Records.
