WIDE-U is a Thai band with three members consists of
Bon Nirawit Rattana (guitarist-vocalist)
Sin Pisitsak Bunchalerm (bassist)
Eve Jakkawut Tongsawang (drummer)
They produce alternative rock and indie pop songs. Also combined the elements of fusion jazz, r&b vocal, and modern guitar arrangements. They like to listen to very diverse of music genres. So, they have made a unique sound with a combination of vintage and modern vibes together.
WIDE-U comes from the word in Thai “Waiyu”, which means “storm”. They were inspired by the members exclaimed that they want to be the wind, and that is the beginning of searching for their band name. Therefore made them think of the specific name of the storm in each continent, such as Tornado, Hurricane, Typhoon, etc. So they created the name of this storm “WIDE-U” to describe their identity of the band that is “A storm that will blow up to the wide universe”
