Wild Wild Women (WWW) is a powerful collective born out of necessity and defiance in the male-dominated landscape of Indian hip-hop. Formed in 2020 in Mumbai, the core group of five rappers - Krantinaari, HashtagPreeti, MC Mahila, JQueen, and Pratika - came together after realizing the glaring absence and marginalization of female talent at local cyphers. They launched with a singular, unified mission: to create an inclusive space where women’s authentic, lived experiences could be the unapologetic centre of the narrative.
Their music is a masterclass in multilingual, conscious hip-hop. Drawing on their diverse linguistic backgrounds, they seamlessly switch between five languages, English, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, and Tamil, often within a single track, giving their work a unique, pan-Indian resonance.
