Wild Wilsey is a new musical collaboration between Sacramento-based rap artist Ant Wild and music producer <a href="spotify:artist:6kcuwBqLxDxKi1tUmPE2NS" data-name="Darren Wilsey">Darren Wilsey</a> . Their debut single “Check My Melody” is now available on all music streaming platforms.
“I saw Ant perform for the first time at the Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. The first thing I noticed was the venue was completely packed on that evening, and the second was Ant’s natural gift as a live performer. He had that elusive x-factor” Wilsey recalled.
The Wild Wilsey connection was formed in a class of all places.
“Years ago, Ant was enrolled in a music business course I was teaching. Fast forward and we’ve recorded and released a song together. Ant has always been very driven to make things happen, and I admire that quality.” Wilsey said.
Wild continued, "I knew that Darren was special just from the awesome person he is and the bond we instantly formed. What took my confirmation over the top is when I finally got a chance to hear him play.“
“Check My Melody” blends elements of Hip Hop, Boom Bap, 80's R&B, and electronic music production.
A full album is in the pipeline.
