Will Beale is a singer/songwriter and poet from Melbourne, Australia. His first poetry book, They Call Us Loud, was published in Malaysia in 2015. His first full EP of music, Matryoshka, is coming soon, with singles steadily releasing in collaboration with Singaporean producer Wovensound, including a feature with Singaporean singer/songwriter aeriqah.
His style of indie folk music is influenced by Bon Iver, Bright Eyes, Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, Kevin Devine, Hozier, Ben Howard and more such artists. Poetically, he's inspired by Saul Williams, Buddy Wakefield, Hanif Abdurraqib, Ocean Vuong, Bill Moran and so many more.
As a spoken word poet, Will represented his state of Victoria in the 2016 Australian National Poetry Slam, performing at the Sydney Opera House. Today, he performs at intimate music venues and literary festivals around Asia Pacific.
