In his debut record Lilac Artifact, released in 2020, Will distinguishes himself among other indie bedroom pop artists with the sound of his Lap Steel guitar. Songs like Iroquois are a cozy cruise at low tide, while Socks is a interstellar foot-tapper.
Transitioning from a musician trying to "make-it", to a full-time piano technician in 2021, Lauzon was met with a long season of personal identity deconstruction. With a handful of unfinished demos and dwindling spirit, he was not sure where music fit in his life.
2022 was a year of reconstruction and revival of hope for Lauzon. There was a realization of the possibility to transmute feelings and experiences into music.
In his upcoming project Mirror Room, Will expands upon his sound by introducing acoustic piano, vocal harmonies from his wife Nina, as well as his graduation from Lap Steel guitar to Pedal Steel guitar.
