As an Alt-Country singer-songwriter, Will Purdue finds inspiration from the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:2cCUtGK9sDU2EoElnk0GNB" data-name="The National">The National</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4KWTAlx2RvbpseOGMEmROg" data-name="R.E.M.">R.E.M.</a> <a href="spotify:artist:51Blml2LZPmy7TTiAg47vQ" data-name="U2">U2</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5l8VQNuIg0turYE1VtM9zV" data-name="Leonard Cohen">Leonard Cohen</a> and draws from his combined influences to create his own brand of alt-rock / Americana. Will was also a supporting artist to two of his musical influences - <a href="spotify:artist:0fgYKF9Avljex0L9Wt5b8Z" data-name="Echo &amp; the Bunnymen">Echo &amp; the Bunnymen</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6zKkaqMGGmaKLUSLTcsrls" data-name="Jesse Malin">Jesse Malin</a>.

His EP &#39;<a href="spotify:album:3AY9gKduzyxFfeAyKedUJh" data-name="Call My Name">Call My Name</a>&#39; featured four alt-country tracks using <a href="spotify:artist:3eqjTLE0HfPfh78zjh6TqT" data-name="Bruce Springsteen">Bruce Springsteen</a>&#39;s Nebraska as inspiration. Recording the EP in London&#39;s Church Studios, Will stripped right back to the bare bones of acoustic guitar, violin and pedal steel to really let the songs tell their story.

Will has been featured on regional BBC Radio across the UK, and his festival performances include <a href="spotify:artist:2uW9FGHenoquS5what78vl" data-name="Celtic Connections">Celtic Connections</a> (Glasgow Concert Hall) and London Blues Fest.

His forthcoming track &#39;Missing Piece&#39; will be available on all streaming platforms from the 22nd of July.
