Hello and thanks for visiting my profile. My name is William Haviland, and I am a pianist/composer and Musicnotes Signature Artist; now most likely to be found in the UK countryside.
I studied Classical Music in London, but since then have strayed a little from the confines of the score. My musical heroes include Chopin, Ravel, Elton John, Paul Simon, John Williams, and Keith Jarrett. I am especially fond of the body of work found in the ‘Great American Songbook’.
My early tuition was at the Blackheath Conservatoire, and subsequently I accepted an offer to read Music at King’s College London. Since graduation, I have worked as a teacher, performer, and recording artist.
I am also an avid YouTuber, mostly of pop covers and classical reworkings for solo piano. I would be delighted if you would follow me on my YouTube channel, and also here on Spotify, to stay updated on all future releases.
In 2021, I started a lo-fi/chill side project, called <a href="spotify:artist:5r6nfPHTRYncD5nbTkE2IW" data-name="Freddie's Fridge">Freddie's Fridge</a>. Please be most welcome to visit the page, and follow Freddie if you enjoy the tracks. I will be releasing new material regularly as time goes by. In 2024, I began a weekly piano podcast, which you can enjoy here on Spotify, entitled 'Piano Key A to G'.
