Multi-instrumentalist, William played classical guitar for 10 years at an official music school and got graduated in 2016.
Later on, he decided to explore other cultures.
Under the tutelage of renowned master <a href="spotify:artist:0yuArTxFcjvRyXsr4UaBsY" data-name="Emre Gültekin">Emre Gültekin</a>, he learned the Anatolian saz in all it's differents forms (dede sazi, kopuz, çogur, cura, balta, baglama, divan, ogur...) which a focus on the Alevi-Bektaşi tradition along with old Armenian and Kurdish songs and under deep influence of the barde <a href="spotify:artist:0HxuFMBiNVoEGlZfaCHiVM" data-name="Nesimi Çimen">Nesimi Çimen</a> killed in 1993 Sivas massacre.
His game is always an improvisation and a surprise, even for himself.
Beyond performance, William’s quest for the perfect timbre led him to the art of luthiery. Under the name Zeytin Saz Atölyesi, he passionately restores and crafts traditional instruments by hand, rejecting modern manufacturing techniques to preserve their authentic sound and soul.
His work, both as a musician and artisan, reflects a deep commitment to cultural heritage and musical purity.
