Arthur Wils, also known as WILS, is a Dutch songwriter and vocalist whose passion for pop and dance music has garnered attention. He's recognized for his memorable melodies and his clear, expressive voice, which some may compare to artists like Adam Levine of Maroon 5 or Duncan Laurence.
Growing up in a musical family Arthur was already deeply drawn to music at a young age. His musical journey began at the age of 8 when he started playing the drums, followed by guitar at the age of 9. His love for singing blossomed when he was 15, prompted by an invitation from friends to join their band as the lead singer. This love for singing remained unwavering.
In 2010, Arthur achieved recognition as a 3FM Talent with his band Monks Avenue and had the privilege of opening for OneRepublic on several occasions. Following his graduation from The Rock Academy in 2014, Arthur embarked on a solo project known as Art Felixx. Under this alias, he released two EPs and made appearances on national radio.
Arthur's knack for crafting catchy melodies drew the attention of the dance music industry. Lucas Estrada, a DJ and founder of Loudkult, remixed Arthur's track "High On Love." This marked the beginning of a new phase in his career, prompting him to concentrate on writing for dance music. It was in this context that WILS was born.
Since then, Arthur has collaborated with artists like Nora Van Elken, Vertile, Frequencerz, and Lucas Estrada, solidifying his presence in the dance music scene.
