Window View started as a bedroom project for Matt back in high school, but when he met Aaron in college they quickly found new chemistry together. After college, the two moved to LA with a couple of friends, and recorded and released Out of Order from their apartment in West Hollywood in 2009. It made it onto the iTunes New & Noteworthy, which at the time was pretty cool : )
They spent the next two years pushing their sound to a bigger scope, and in 2011 Northbound was the fruit of that labor. It was featured on MTV and went on to capture a wider audience to go with the evolution of sound.
After a tour in 2012, the band parted ways, but eventually reformed as hollywood. in 2022. But as part of a final goodbye to Window View, Aaron and Matt decided to dust off a 10 year old near-finished EP that was started in LA and worked on in between the Northbound and Out of Order sessions. This became the Lola EP, and now available to stream.
To kick off the hollywood. era, they also decided to remake one of their most beloved songs "Emmalyn" with lyrics re-imagined to fit with the quarantine life of 2020, and music and production fitting of their new sound.
