Wings Denied

<a href="spotify:artist:4rIjKbh6a3rqzuzg54zszJ" data-name="Wings Denied">Wings Denied</a> is a collision of fate and sound, born in the melting pot of Washington, D.C., where four students from distant corners of the world found themselves under the same roof. Within three months, their debut EP Awake emerged, clocking over two thousand downloads in just 24 hours—a signal that something raw and powerful had been set in motion. Their music threads a delicate line between metal and alternative rock, blending the brooding atmospheres of Deftones, the grungy, blues-soaked vocals of Alice in Chains, and the technicality and experimentation of modern progressive metal.

What began in basements and on kitchen floors grew into a relentless journey, culminating in their 2014 album <a href="spotify:album:0AIW1HG7qbb1SM7dDJK6u9" data-name="Mirrors for a Prince">Mirrors for a Prince</a>
which found it’s way to Bandcamp’s metal “Top 10.” The 2016 <a href="spotify:album:3xuKUI9zYu5E29rg6dJjqi" data-name="Voyager">Voyager</a> EP pushed the band further, with an unyielding presence on stages across the US and Europe, including Euroblast’s mainstage.

Wings Denied reemerged from an unplanned hiatus with the single <a href="spotify:track:2i29b48CyK5ykW6ILuCul3" data-name="Plastic Tears">Plastic Tears</a> in 2022 - it’s catchy hooks and crushing riffs making their way to Fortnite, the global gaming phenomenon. Now, they look ahead to Just the Basics a genre-bending odyssey of nine tracks that breaks boundaries, releasing September 2024.
