Winter Aura is a costarrican-colombian band formed by main singer and bassist Jay Merc and guitarist Jean Paul.
Winter Aura started as Ensalada de Papa (Potato salad) on March 2023, with members Jay (Jona back then), Jean and their original bass player, Charlie J. After some discussion, they adopted the name Spring Harbor, which was chosen by Charlie and based on the album Cold Spring Harbor by Billy Joel. When Jay and Jean saw that Charlie didn't want to work, they decided to leave him and form a new band, and after a few months on June 24, 2023, Winter Aura was born.
After recording from June to November of 2023, Winter Aura released their debut single Shut Up on November 16, and planned to release a new single on December 31 of the same year titled So Long, but was canceled and now released on December 31 of 2024 and renamed as I Guess We're Flying High (So Long).
