Winter barn first formed in the hills of Tennessee when Garreth Paul and Jason Stumpf started playing around campfires in the mid-90s. After more than a decade pursuing their own musical journeys, the two reconnected during the pandemic to make meaning in the chaos of the world. Garreth Paul is a veteran of Texas swing bands steeped in country, jazz, and roots music. Jason Stumpf is a poet and musician who creates effects-tinged loops and layers on the guitar.
