Winter Grain is retired Army Blackhawk pilot Kate and music teacher Secily. Check out some of Kate's flying in their music video for "Lucky Enough." Last year was their Newport Folk Festival debut. They are recent finalists in the International Acoustic Music Awards. Secily often says she wishes she listened to more Tom Petty and less Dave Matthews growing up because now she has a very high bar to meet when writing guitar parts (not that Tom Petty didn't write some killer riffs too; Winter Grain covers Petty often). If you like the idea of the Indigo Girls playing with early John Mayer, you may just dig Winter Grain.
