Winter on Venus is a sonic excavation of grief, violence and transcendence filtered through asymmetrical rhythmic architecture and emotionally weaponised ambience. Emerging from the windswept metaphysical wasteland of Perth, the band fuses tectonic low-end density, ritualistic polyrhythms and cinematic melancholy into an experience described by absolutely nobody as “easy listening.”
Forged over a decade of collaboration, lineup casualties and spiritually significant rehearsal-room arguments, the band now prepares to unveil its debut collection of recordings — a trilogy of singles intended to soundtrack both existential collapse and moderately aggressive late-night drives.
Despite occasional accusations of being a “prog band,” Winter on Venus remain committed to writing music organically rather than disappearing completely into spreadsheet-based time-signature analysis.
