Without a Face was founded in 2004. In 2009, WAF released <a href="spotify:album:1AAsFpVj7mkhxIYHCqihmv" data-name="Worst Debut Album Ever">Worst Debut Album Ever</a> via Redbird Records & Touring. In 2010, WAF released the 2nd album, <a href="spotify:album:5utF7VugsCigFGMVKfmT7u" data-name="The 1st Album Was Better">The 1st Album Was Better</a> via Redbird Records again. WAF parted ways with Redbird and self-released an EP, <a href="spotify:album:2Y5oR7wt3TNshN9GpM3QBf" data-name="5 Songs">5 Songs</a> in 2011, unearthing old crowd-pleasing songs such as <a href="spotify:track:5LBC8yG1UJDNb2yWaAXWJl" data-name="Pigs">Pigs</a> & <a href="spotify:track:2WipFnwLHPPY5blC1NljDl" data-name="Never Wake Up">Never Wake Up</a>. WAF then self-released another EP in 2012, <a href="spotify:album:25TH26lgv6VD2YUGSqisfd" data-name="Oh, Great, an Election">Oh, Great, an Election</a>, which contained songs excluded from the upcoming 3rd album at the time.
In 2013, WAF self-released the 3rd album, <a href="spotify:album:6ZkSRj2UwW2py8phlKnq9o" data-name="The American Scheme">The American Scheme</a>, featuring songs such as <a href="spotify:track:1CwhzNAgsGu1RKhVivpQLq" data-name="Like a President">Like a President</a>, which won honorable mention in the rock category for the International Songwriting Contest out of over 20,000 song submissions. The anti-TSA song, <a href="spotify:track:7KZzQBKkRWXo8L5hg8cTOb" data-name="Twisted Sexual Assault">Twisted Sexual Assault</a>, used dark sarcastic humor protesting the fact that some convicted predators worked at airports on behalf of TSA. It had a very impressive music video (for an independent artist) thanks to crowdfunding and even won the comedy/parody category in the USA Songwriting Competition.
