A Niger Delta boy Born in Okrika, Rivers state representing the Ijaw Tribe, Wizard Chan grew up listening to and idolising the likes of Damian jr Gong Marley, 2Face Idibia and a host of others including Teke Wari Nime (Prayer House Songs) which influenced the style and authenticity of his music. His sound can be classified as one born out of love, pain, darkness and struggles to find and stay true to self and this can be seen in the body of his work.
