Wolf Among Wolves

Wolf Among Wolves is the vehicle for Austin, TX based singer/songwriter Wolf Lilly. Having lived a nomadic life from coast to coast in the United States and Western Europe, Lilly’s songwriting has the sense of rootlessness and a philosophical perspective that could only be developed by someone who has lived the life of an outsider.

Born in Virginia in 1983, Lilly spent his formative years in rural Pennsylvania before moving to Brooklyn at 18 years old to pursue a career in the arts. Disillusioned by the cliquish nature of the avant-garde scene, Lilly began drifting, supporting his art with a series of side careers that has spanned from door knocking for environmental groups, painting houses, retails sales, lecturing English at universities, translating academic works, to software engineering.
