The Wolfkin duo blends '70s psychedelia and raw '60s garage with modern drum loops and samples and sardonic slacker sensibilities, combining attitudes and musicality of old times with the new. A comradery between members Kristian Godtfredsen and Lars Vognstrup developed while living in the same co-op in Copenhagen. Both members shared a musical background -- Godtfredsen cut his teeth in Sleeping Agents, and Vognstrup had played in Money Your Love previously. One night at their residence, Lars overheard Kristian strumming guitar from down the hall and the two paired up and recorded "7th Heaven." After creating a number of other songs, Godtfredsen left to tour as a backing musician for Junior Senior and played one of Wolfkin's demo songs, "Brand New Pants," for the boys in the tour bus. Taken by the music, temporary Junior Senior drummer Jesper Reginal offered the duo a record deal on his label Crunchy Frog. After putting the finishing touches on Brand New Pants, the album was released on various dates in different regions, on August 28, 2006, in Denmark, December 1, 2006, in Germany, and March 11, 2008, in the U.S. ~ Jason Lymangrover, Rovi
