Wreckeds is a singer-songwriter from Romania who makes pop with bite. She grew up in a small village in a post-communist country, found her footing on Tumblr. in the alt-pop of the 2010s, and taught herself to sing and write, building her sound from scratch.
Irony runs through most of what she does. Her songs are stacked with pop-culture references and hooks you can't shake, and they tend to circle the same things: who you are, what you're pushing back against, and how absurd modern life can get. For reference points, think Halsey, Charli XCX, and Lorde, though she's not really trying to sound like anyone but herself.
Her debut EP The Death of a Star came out last year. Now she's back with a new single, "Show My Teeth," about the duality of being a woman: the pressure to be one fixed thing when you're capable of being anything. She currently splits her time between Romania and Los Angeles.
