Wyatt Young crafts songs catchy enough for radio, yet rich with the kind of detail that resonates with even the most discerning indie rock critic. Their sound walks a precise line between melody and grit—artfully executed with the confidence of seasoned craftsmen. These are articulate, literate rock songs that rumble, ramble, and linger long after the final note.
Formed in 2012 in Northern Ontario, Wyatt Young began as an acoustic folk duo featuring Jamie Mackay and Travis Major. That same year, they released their debut EP, Peace and Your Eternity. After a brief hiatus, the band regrouped in 2017, shifting to a fuller electric sound with the addition of Eric Bernard on drums and Travis moving to bass. In 2018, they released Session1 | Somewhere In The North, their first full-length, live-off-the-floor album—capturing the raw energy of their evolving sound.
