Xanitra was started as a project in 1999 as something I used to pass the time whilst in the army. There was a recreational room with old synths, and instruments. The other part of the room was a well equipped gym. All the other young men used the gym, while I always chose the instruments.
Frank Sinatra is a man I've always looked up to, so the name Xanitra was born. This was also the dawn of the internet so I also uploaded some tracks to former mp3.com.
When I had served my country, and fired my last rifle at pretend enemy troppers, several people on mp3.com had left comments that I should continue making music, because the music made them feel awesome.
In that moment, from that point on, I felt that I could do anything I wanted to, and nothing could stop me. So that is exactly what I did:
When I got home
I continued making music, and bought my first synth with the help of my father:
The Virus Indigo 2.
Today Xanitra has become an extension of myself, and a thank you to all the wonderful and innovative music that has imspired me throughout my life. Xanitra is all about believing in yourself, never giving up on love, and always fighting for your dreams. I used to say in 1999 music should be free, to free your soul. But today, with music being free to everybody, all across the world, wether rich or poor, I now choose to instead say:
'' I am Xanitra, prepare to be inspired.''
