Xavier Dang

Xavier started making computer-assisted music in 1997 as &#39;mv&#39; in programs called &quot;trackers&quot;. He composed more than a thousand tracks with those and got recognition &amp; awards in various communities (Traxinspace, ModArchive, VGMiX and OCReMiX). He was the founder and a musician of &#39;hellven&#39;, a netlabel which released hundreds of free electronic music tracks between 1998 and 2008, which hosted some demoscene/tracking scene legends such as <a href="spotify:artist:6Y8EHUFoN7EDFD9WoxAnMd" data-name="Hunz">Hunz</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6LpmLNvKVr4J4CqeJew2ID" data-name="The Alpha Conspiracy">The Alpha Conspiracy</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1opAxC78bZ54lTc7ERMWGN" data-name="Xerxes">Xerxes</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5RTA06B6cts3a6I7iMqKGu" data-name="Jake Kaufman">Jake Kaufman</a>, among many others.

He also worked on many video game remixes, one of which got released on the excellent <a href="spotify:album:6Dshiq6jdLr5zwbBFEx9nj" data-name="World 1-2: The Complete Collection">World 1-2: The Complete Collection</a> alongside glorious names such as <a href="spotify:artist:2HJhExHDzQpRCD89IGf3DI" data-name="Manami Matsumae">Manami Matsumae</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6f7UIM59MQy6y0bJmQcRNe" data-name="Akira Yamaoka">Akira Yamaoka</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:546MXGKJRNfO5to1oqkfqe" data-name="Ben Prunty">Ben Prunty</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0F4rneT54YD3eaWYXUXvFM" data-name="ABSRDST">ABSRDST</a>. Xavier uses other software for bigger projects and worked on more than 30 soundtracks/gigs for video games and television. Nostalgia and video games never left though and 3 of his releases (<a href="spotify:album:2pSe8NO6posxGVZHFrqKlL" data-name="The State EP">The State EP</a>, <a href="spotify:album:1CGsCvOwXEE1CM8uOMEcnu" data-name="Metamorphoses">Metamorphoses</a> , <a href="spotify:album:259nTLqzpdgE9IyxUF1ixI" data-name="Release">Release</a> ) were produced in Schism Tracker using chiptune sounds; while <a href="spotify:album:5LaneinvrFSKJ3CDz8URQ3" data-name="Bokida: Heartfelt Reunion (Soundtrack)">Bokida: Heartfelt Reunion (Soundtrack)</a> is a 2+ hour long ambient soundtrack composed and produced in Cubase for a video game.

In 2019, <a href="spotify:album:6L4Vdc6RUm3UM71i65Cw3B" data-name="Pixelated Timeline">Pixelated Timeline</a> was released, a video game music homage of sorts composed &amp; produced in Cubase. In 2020, Xavier released <a href="spotify:album:6PppKpq7GlSgWxq7V4bQnt" data-name="Musings I">Musings I</a>, a 5-track EP of RPG/fantasy tracks composed on stream; as well as <a href="spotify:album:1r1zYWdBnlsB0C1EVylOwL" data-name="Old School Musical: Mv Expo! (Original Soundtrack)">Old School Musical: Mv Expo! (Original Soundtrack)</a>, tracks composed for the final DLC of the video game.
