XavlegbmaofffassssitimiwoamndutroabcwapwaeiippohfffX™ (Xavleg™, pronounced "ZAV-leg") takes its 52-letter name from an infamous phrase beginning "Acidic Vaginal Liquid Explosion..." The South African extreme metal project burst onto the scene in 2016 when founder Duncan Bentley, alongside Kris Xenopoulos and Byron Dunwoody, coined the term "Meme-Grind." Their unreadable logo by Sergey Polyakov and audacious name earned features on Ultimate Guitar's weirdest-band-names list and MetalSucks' Completely Unreadable Band Logo of the Week.
Debut EP "Gore" (2016) delivered blast-beat brutality with absurdly long song titles. Germany's DeathFeast Open Air 2017 converted curious crowds into devoted fans. "Gore 2.0" (2018) refined their sound and cracked the UK market at Fall in the Brawl Fest. Their top Spotify tracks now exceed 17.5 million plays with 95,000 monthly listeners and 200,000+ social media followers.
Since late 2023, Duncan Bentley remains the sole founding member, handling all creative aspects with rotating guest musicians. A new record is coming in 2025, promising heavier riffs and uncompromising South African brutality.
