YAEVIN

YAEVIN is a Korean-American Pop/R&B singer-songwriter born and raised in the Chicagoland area. Growing up YAEVIN experimented with piano, guitar, trombone, and cello, but found real refuge in musical theater classes. Come high school, she landed a role as Dorothy in her public school’s production of “The Wiz” where she realized her goal of becoming a professional singer.

That next year, she auditioned for Berklee College of Music and went on to discover world’s of new music beyond her initial influences of 90’s Divas; Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera and studied new styles form jazz to gospel to neo-soul, etc. With these new influences and more to come, YAEVIN began to write her own music and went on to study music production and engineering in order to be self-sufficient in her future as a singer-songwriter.

After earning her degree in Professional Music and a Minor in Music Production & Engineering, YAEVIN made her move to Brooklyn, NY and began to perform her original music at venues around New York City.

YAEVIN is currently releasing her second single on April 15th, representing a fresh take on her Pop and 90’s R&B influences to be released later this year.
