YANN is a Brazilian-Moroccan pop artist based in NYC, making 80s-tinged queer dance pop in the lineage of Pet Shop Boys, Bronski Beat, and New Order, modernized for now.

"Shoot Bang Kill," his English-language US debut, is out July 17, 2026. It opens with a chiptune intro that glitches into the real song at the 12-second mark, which is a fair description of what falling in love against your will actually feels like. Every lyric is autobiographical. Every song is something he actually lived through. Think a diary you weren't supposed to read, scored for the dancefloor at 120+ BPM.

Before this chapter, YANN established himself in Brazil with the Rio Pride anthem "IGUAL," which hit #6 on Spotify Brazil's Viral chart. The "IGUAL" music video featured Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Demi Lovato, and Lorde, among others. Earlier work includes "LOVE" featuring acclaimed actress Mariana Ximenes.

Now he's making the most honest music of his career, entirely independently, on his own terms. For listeners of Troye Sivan, Years & Years, Romy, and the queer dance pop renaissance, this is the lane.
