Hi ! My name is Shafwa Tiara but people calls me Yara.
I’m a 13 years old girl who has a dream to be a singer since I was very little! In fact , I’ve been singing since I was three!
When I was 10 years old , I mustered the courage to tell my mom that I wanted to be a singer; I thought she won’t take it seriously, but it turned out that my parents take that seriously (which I am very glad for).
Since then, I’ve been meeting many talented people that was willing to help me. I did encounter a few ( or many ) obstacles along the way, like failures, and sometimes I regret my decision and just cried all night, as I always feel insecure about myself all the time. But my parents always says, “don’t give up,“ and as long as you want it - as long as you’re willing to work hard for it - they will support me until the end.
I took a break for a while as I practiced more by joining a few programs and workshop. I gained my confidence and finally arrived at the point where I’m happy with what I have, where I’m willing to work more for it, and where I feel more confident about myself and that no one can stop me. Because if we talk about haters, no matter how good we are, there’s always people who will hate or dislike us, so if you want to do something, just do it!
