The Amsterdam-based band Yasmine hits you with delightfully confronting honesty. 80’s inspired synth-hooks get refurbished and combined with a love for Tyler, The Creator and Mario Kart. Add to that the awfully catchy melodies of frontman Kevin van Moorsel and you’ve got a mix that’s more colourful and danceable than ever before.
Yasmine was founded in 2016 at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Their first single ‘Chocolate Fingers’ was aired shortly thereafter. In May 2017 their debut EP ‘Honey’ was released. After a successful first clubtour the band returned to the studio to reinvent themselves. Their newest single, ‘Clearly Not Over You’, is out now. Influenced by Arcade Fire, Weval, Autolux and Tame Impala the band has found a new identity. Expect catchy, honest songs covered in synths and love.
