Hailing from Sydney Australia, multi-talented artist Yaz kicked off his musical career as a DJ. He quickly took the local night scene by storm; not long into his career Yaz was performing everywhere from the floors of nightclubs to the stages of renowned stadiums all over Australia. When he wasn’t headlining shows, Yaz was heard across Sydney on Australia’s largest Hip Hop radio station. Since then, Yaz has had the opportunity to work alongside some of the biggest celebrities in the music industry, including Snoop Dogg, TY Dolla Sign, ASAP Ferg, and many others. Over the years Yaz has achieved a great following in Australia both as an artist and an entertainer.


His debut single “Dumb” arrives almost a year after clubs all around the world closed their doors. The single is an ode to party flirting and the feeling of the dance floor vibrating beneath your feet. The track begins with a highly accessorized production: a wobbly bassline with looping snap-snares, theatrical breath work reminiscent of 90s hip-hop, and comedic lilting vocals by Yaz. “It’s more goofy and comedy based than anything while still having that HipHop club sound,” says Yaz. “Making people laugh comes naturally to me and it’s projected through my music.” This triumphant track braids the worlds of Hip-Hop and Night Clubs. Unafraid to play a wild card, Yaz prioritizes unfiltered creativity and daring self-expression, only reinforcing his reputation as a genre-straddling artist.
