Growing up in a talented musical family meant that Franko was always surrounded by music, especially gospel music. Born in Florida, it was later that he would developed his musical tastes and interests. Franko did not hone his skills from Christian music, but it was the one type of music his mother told him he could not listen too, Hip-Hop or Rap music.
At the age of nine he began writing music which was largely influenced by Tupac, T.I., Jeezy and Rick Ross. He chose the name John Dillinger and later changed to Franko out of admiration of what he stood for, what he was able to accomplished, his leadership qualities, fierceness and charisma that he could strongly identify with.
Franko had developed an affinity with Georgia having lived there most of his life, and after leaving the music scene to become the CEO of YCMG Yacht Club Music Group in 2013 and Heavenly Express LLC, he returned as John Dillinger in the hottest city of the south, Atlanta, Georgia in 2019.
After releasing his mixtape “Tha Return of John Dillinger” in February of 2019 making music is his main goal, where he began to showcase his talent in various venues across the Atlanta area. Late 2019 John Dillinger became "YCMG Franko" with partnership merging YCMG to an official music corporation.
