Yearns, originated from Purwokerto. The post-punk band was organically formed by several "old figures", namely, Anindya(The Telephone) as guitar, Descond(Pagi Yang Indah/Sad Story on Sunday) as guitar, Gibransyah(Surn) as lead vocals, Kiki(Getar) on bass, and Naufal(Surn) on drums. Coming from different musical roots (a cliche), Yearns challenge their luck in a such unknown musical ecosystem, that their members yet to be seen. In addition, Yearns formed as a fruit of restlessness from each member, whose each of their member's band(s) currently not productive.
In the end, Yearns is a reckless project trying to attract listeners with a novel material. Inspiration comes from Placebo, Interpol, Jakobinarina, Ungdomskulen, Dimmu Borgir, Red Velvet, Twice, Sleaford Mods, Kokoronotomo, Pance Pondaag, Erlend Pancen Øye, Rinto Harahap, Betharia Sonatha, and The Kasimex Houseband.
