Yellow The Sun craft a laid-back fusion of psych and jangle pop, tinged with elements of shoegaze. Following the success of Botanic Royale, they return with their new EP, Beam It Back—a six-track journey into lush, analog-driven psychedelia. Second single drops on March 28th, marking a vibrant new chapter for the project.
Inspired by the dreamy soundscapes of artists like Pond and The Holydrug Couple, Beam It Back embraces a richer sonic palette, bringing live drums and warm, analog synth textures to the forefront.
Yellow The Sun has previously released music through French labels Nice Guys and Kitsuné, with their tracks also featured on Vinyl Moon (USA) compilations Volumes 112 and 089.
“Botanic Mystery” seems born from the most casual, just-got-out-of-bed guitar noodling, the kind of playing that happens before the tape starts rolling when nobody’s listening and the pressure is decidedly off. The beginning of this track will have you wondering… have they started already? To be sure, they have. This wonderfully laid-back, spontaneous approach yields great results for this collaborative outfit. By the time synth stabs enter the picture, the guitars have begun to anchor themselves within the groove, and this track has found its footing.” – Vinyl Moon
