Born in Lawrenceburg Tn, a city known for its countryside, local sports, and being the home of Southern Gospel music, Yeti Bliss finds himself referring to his hometown experiences in his music.
Yeti Bliss is the alter ego of producer, youth pastor, and entrepreneur Aj McCroskey. Aj decided to take on the persona after reading the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. After an in depth study of parables and how they can be used to have heavenly meanings, he committed to help out his youth group by creating music that had deeper meanings than what you originally heard. Yeti Bliss calls it "Parable Music."
Yeti Bliss is known for his smooth indie style that reflects his upbringing in church. You can often hear harmonies that reflect a quartet style of singing that Yeti is accustomed to. Yeti oftentimes uses a call and response style of playing to emphasize certain melodies. His production style also reflects common instruments that you would hear in a local church, with lots of piano, organ, guitar, and even brass instrumentation.
Yeti Bliss's refers to his music as sultry, soulful, laidback, and fun. "If it ain't fun, then I don't want to do it." says Yeti. "When I make music, I honestly let it come alive. I've never been one to start at the beginning and work my way to the end. Sometimes I may start with the bridge and then get a second verse before I have anything else. I know that makes it easier to feel the music"
