Yeya

Yeya’s passion for the entertainment industry was ignited at age 9, after watching her first Broadway show. Her cousin was performing in The Lion King , as Nala. As the music began, young Yeya watched the actors and puppeted animals make their way down the aisles, and a passion ensued. Shortly after, Yeya was enrolled in 2 theatre classes, and a performing arts summer camp. She performed in musicals all four years of high school, developing dance skills, vocal skills & musicality. After high school, she moved to Colorado and learned many instruments, including guitar, ukulele, and harp, which led to her interest in songwriting and production. Yeya and her son then moved to LA with nearly nothing, and took the risk of pursuing music professionally.

Through an internship in 2018, Yeya connected with Spotify, confirming her hopes and propelling her into a greater realization of her purpose. Yeya spent 6 months in the Secret Genius Studios recording her first EP, Monarch. With the help of Spotify, and various international producers, Yeya is beginning to take the music industry by storm. She has since then performed at the Staples Center for 13,000 people at the WNBA Finals, been featured in multiple Tyga, and Cordae music videos, and opened for Billboard chart-topping band, 5 Seconds of Summer. Her musical debut leaves us feeling inspired and ready to take on the world.
