Yin Qi Choir

Yin Qi Choir was formed in 1994. It is currently one of the three choirs under Yin Qi Music Ministry alongside <a href="spotify:artist:7JcbEbN88VTDJjDXRA1wOY" data-name="Yin Qi Youth Choir">Yin Qi Youth Choir</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7lXyqsetinxODeaTpC39ib" data-name="Yin Qi Children&#39;s Choir">Yin Qi Children&#39;s Choir</a>. The objective of Yin Qi Choir is to serve God through sacred music, by promoting its quality and integrity in order to nurture the growth of church music, and cultivate an environment to simulate its growth. Members of Yin Qi Choir is recruited from different denominations and churches in Malaysia. The choir rehearses for 2 hours every week, providing choral training and music teaching. Formally led by resident conductors <a href="spotify:artist:1yELFeXuGghqbJzOXv9ijT" data-name="Elaine Pao">Elaine Pao</a> and the late Armando Chin Yong, some notable concert repertoires of Yin Qi Choir includes Handel’s Oratorio “Messiah”, Mozart’s “Requiem” and “The Great Mass in C minor”, Mendelssohn’s Oratorio “Elijah”, Haydn’s Oratorio “The Creation”, J. S. Bach’s “Mass in B minor” , “St. Matthew Passion”, “Magnificat”, Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 “Ode to Joy” and “Missa Solemnis”.
